WHY WE'RE HERE

On 3/25/22, news broke that the Georgia Department of Agriculture shut down Laurens County Animal Control due to cruelty allegations. It reopened the following week and continues to operate while under investigation but it's unknown whether there are restrictions or oversight requirements during this time, and no changes in staff have been made.

We're working to hold those in charge of LCAC accountable and to demand transparency to improve the lives of homeless companion animals in Laurens County.
